Official To Host Town Hall Meeting, Schedule One-On-One Appointments
To Assist US Taxpayers
The
U.S. Government's Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will send a
taxpayer assistant to Bucharest next week, March 12 to 14, to
help resident Americans and others who plan to file U.S. income
tax forms. The official will be available for appointments,
will meet with tax filers during afternoon walk-in hours, and
will host a "town hall" type meeting to field general
tax questions.
The
Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 12, at 5:30 p.m.
at the American Center, Strada Jean Louis Calderon 7-9, in Bucharest.
If you have any specific questions you would like discussed
at this meeting, please send your questions to Ms. Gail Johnson-Pop
at johnsong@usembassy.ro. You must bring your passport or identity
card with you for admittance to this meeting.
To
schedule an appointment with the IRS official, please call American
Citizens Services at (01) 210-4042, extensions 403 or 315 during
business hours. Appointments will be scheduled during the mornings
and walk-in hours will be in the afternoons of March 12 -14.
