KFOR Media Day At Constanta

The U.S. Army has chosen the Black Sea port of Constanta to rotate U.S. Army units from Kosovo. The 29th Support Group, 21st Theater Support Command will facilitate the reception and staging of materiel, which will include army helicopters, containers, wheeled and tracked vehicles, power generators, water trailers and engineering equipment all coming from Kosovo.

All media representatives are invited to attend a Media Day to be held in Constanta on
May 8, 2002, beginning at approximately 10:00 a.m. The Media Day activities will include a press briefing by the Task Force-Constanta military representatives, a port tour, and the opportunity for journalists to photograph and video the equipment and the port area.

The U.S. Embassy will issue a complete media advisory next week, with details on the exact time and location to assemble, and more background information about the operation. We look forward to seeing all media representatives on May 8.
