U.S. EMBASSY TO CLOSE MONDAY FOR KING HOLIDAY
The U.S. Embassy and Consulate, including all visa services, will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2003 in observance of Martin Luther King Day, a U.S. holiday. Martin Luther King was an important figure and leader in the civil rights movement in the United States in the 1950's and 60's, who was assassinated in April 1968. All normal Embassy services will resume at 8 am Tuesday.
