U.S. TAX ASSISTANT IN BUCHAREST
A
tax assistant from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service will be visiting
Bucharest March 10-13 to help US taxpayers with questions and
information on how to file their taxes. During his time here,
the tax assistant will host a town meeting to answer general questions,
hold one-on-one meetings to answer more specific questions, and
have walk-in hours to assist the public.
The
town meeting will be on March 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the American
Center, Jean Louis Calderon 7-9. This meeting is open to American
citizens and foreign citizens who pay US taxes. Identification
is required at the door.
One-on-one
appointments with the tax assistant can be made by calling the
Embassy at 210-4042, ext. 318. Appointments are 30 minutes in
length and will only be available for the four days the assistant
is here. As space is limited, please call in advance to secure
an appointment.
The
tax assistant will be available from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for walk-ins
with no previous appointment.
